Some time ago I ran into this post on 9gag with really awkward album covers..

I didn’t really care about posting it here until I was send another link today with another beautiful collection of  book covers.

Anyway, check and judge for yourself…

A collection of the worst album covers:

Original post: http://9gag.com/gag/3622854

Best ad for a haunted house?

Nightmares Fear Factory

Nightmares Fear Factory is a walk-through haunted house attraction in the Clifton Hill tourist district in Niagara Falls, Canada (for 30 years). If you make it through, then you are a survivor.

However, if at anytime you choose not to continue, then you scream “nightmares” and something will escort you out, and then you are added to the “chicken list”, which is now over 112,000

How did they go viral with this?

Post pictures of your scared customers on the interwebs, sit back, … profit..

Check out their Flickr stream, pure awesomeness there haha

Animals being dicks

without comments

Can’t believe I forgot to share this one.

I stumbled upon this website some weeks ago, it’s not that filled yet (as in you’ll click through all of the content in a matter of minutes), but it’s getting there.

Anyway.. I like the idea hehe.. Animals begin dicks, because sometimes they can be just that..

Check it out

Flame

without comments

Got this link from Oscar.

Flame is a painting program, it belongs to my ‘I am Artist’ experimental project. I think with tools which inspires you, everyone can be an artist. You can try it here, change different brush settings and paint your own flame paintings. When you change background from black to white, palette changes from additive to substactive and the feeling of the painting is very different. It’s not easy to explain all brush parameters, so I leave this for your experimentation.

Check out some of the stuff people created with this applet.

Check out the gallery for more.

NYC and Las Vegas at night

without comments

Some cool pics at Boston.com/bigpicture.

Photographer Jason Hawkes, a frequent contributor to the Big Picture blog, returns today, sharing with us some of his latest images of American cities seen from above at night – New York City and Las Vegas, both cities that undergo significant transformations after the sun goes down. From Hawkes: “The images of New York were shot on Nikons latest camera, the D3S, using three gyro stabilizing mounts and flown using twin star helicopters. (Eurocopter AS355). We flew from heights of just over 500 ft up to 2,500-ft with no doors on, it was very very cold. The images of Las Vegas were shot for a separate project, using a range of helicopters from a Robinson 44 to Eurocopter AS355″.

Thanks Martijn for the link ;)
